Effect of titanium dioxide and cinstant magnetic field on dielectric parameters of ferrites of TiO2-Fe2O3-CaO-V2O5 system

Description

The development and creation of a number of devices operating under low-temperature conditions and using ferrite components are indissolubly linked with the need to obtain low-temperature ferrite materials with given properties. In this connection, ferrites synthesized in the system TiO2-Fe2O3-CaO-V2O5 are of considerable interest. The dielectric properties of ferrite materials play an important role in the calculation of circulation parameters, but there are virtually no published reports on measurements of the dielectric constant and the dielectric-loss tangent of ferrites of this system. It has been established that for ferrites of the system TiO2-Fe2O3-CaO-V2O5, with an increase in the initial TiO2 content the value of epsilon' increases from 6.8 to 10.5 at room temperature. When these specimens are cooled to 1330K, their dielectric constant epsilon' varies from 6.2 to 9.8 with the composition. It has been shown that with cooling to 1330K the tan deltasub(epsilon) of the specimens decreases to 1x10-3. The imposition of a permanent external magnetic field, accompanied by cooling to 1330K, improves the tan deltasub(epsilon) of ferrite specimens (tan deltasub(epsilon) approximately equal to 2x10-4) with 4πMsub(s)>>0. The mechanisms governing the dielectric parameters of ferrites and responsible for the effect of an external magnetic field on the dielectric properties of the specimens are examined
