Effective number of deuterons in spherical nuclei
Description
The effective number of deuterons W/sub d/ in spherical nuclei and their spatial and energy distributions are calculated on the basis of the sum rules for the distributions are calculated on the basis of the sume rules for the deuteron spectroscopic factors. The important role of the effect of ''alignment'' of the angular momenta of the neutron and proton forming the deuteron in the absolute values of W/sub d/ and in the deuteron orbital angular momentum distributions is pointed out. The effect of the energy dependence of the shell potential on the W/sub d/ distributions in the separation energies of the neutron-proton pair is taken into account. The values of W/sub d/ obtained are compared to the analogous values extracted from (p, p'd) reactions
