Description
The current research is emphasizing on non-Newtonian liquid flow characteristics and their applications. There has been a lot of interest in using these fluids in biological and technical disciplines. Having such substantial interest in ferromagnetic non-Newtonian fluids, our goal is to explain the Soret and Dufour effects on an Oldroyd-B liquid flow past a stretching sheet with magnetic dipole and Stefan blowing effects. Furthermore, the modelled equations are converted to ordinary differential equations (ODEs) by applying appropriate similarity transformations. The Runge–Kutta procedure with the shooting approach is then used to solve the ODEs. Numerical solutions are obtained for the flow, energy, concentration, rate of heat transfer, and mass transfer properties, which are then explained using appropriate graphs and tables. The significant results of the present study are that the increase in values of the porosity parameter declines the velocity profile. The velocity field is improved when the Deborah number is increased. The heat transfer is improved by a rise in the values of the ferromagnetic interaction parameter. The rise in Biot number improves the heat transfer of the fluid. The mass transfer improves with an increase in the values of Soret number, but the upward values of Schmidt number decay the mass transfer. (author)
