Advanced methods of active neutron dosimetry for individual monitoring and radiation field analysis

The European Commission, in its Nuclear Fission Safety RTD Programme, sponsors various research projects, part of them in the field of Radiation Protection. The present report, the mid-term report of the project Advanced Methods of Active Neutron Dosimetry for Individual Monitoring and Radiation Field Analysis, has been written as one of the reports required by the Commission. The project objectives are introduced and the achievements and status of the project at mid-term are described. The report is identical with that submitted to the Commission and therefore follows a format which differs from that of other scientific PTB reports. For example, the research objects are presented according to the work-package structure of the project and a list of references is missing; instead a list of publications written in the course of the project is included. The results have been supplied by the partners of the project with the consequence that the formats of the various tables and figures are, in general, different. The report is presented to make the activities of this project public to those interested in radiation protection measurements. (orig.)
