From hadron collisions to heavy ion collisions: The dual parton model

  • 1. Laboratoire de Physique Theorique et Particules Elementaires, Universite Paris Sud, Batiment 211, 91405 ORSAY Cedex

Description

The authors present a microscopic theory of soft hadronic collisions and give a unified description of hadron-hadron, hadron-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions. A good agreement with all available data is obtained and predictions for the next generation of heavy ion collisions are given
