Investigation of secondary decomposition in the YuNDK35T5BA alloy
Creators
Description
Magnetic properties and structural transformations in the YuND K35T5BA alloy were examined during the course of its afterdecomposition (the alloy was first preheated up to 1250 deg C and then supercooled in a lead bath in the magnetic field at the temperature of about 800 to 810 deg C, followed by quenching in water). The dependence of the coeruptive force, periods of the lattice of β and β2 phases as well as of their difference, on the afterdecomposition temperature has been derived within the temperature range of 800 to 700 deg C. It has been established that after quenching from the isothermal thermomagnetic treatment temperature, the YuND4 35T5BA alloy is made up of three space-centered phases:β1, β2 and β0. During the process of afterdecomposition, β0 phase ''dissolves'' intensively as temperature decreases. This is accompanied by a change in the periods of the crystal lattice of β and β2 phases, and by a considerable increase in the coercive force of the alloy
