Terahertz-induced nonlinear intersubband dynamics

Description

Full text: We demonstrate the direct observation of nonlinear electron dynamics in quantum Wells induced by intense and broadband THz pulses. Thereby, we will discuss the effect of the broad bandwidth, like, for instance, the THz-induced DC Stark effect or the effective transfer oft electrons from the ground state to the first, second, and third excited subband. Such a nonlinear study will be useful for the investigation of intersubband devices such as QCLs. (author)
