A new technique in the physics of diagnostic radiology: a short course presented at the 21. Brazilian congress of Radiology

  • 1. Food and Drug Administration, Rockville, MD (USA). Center for Devices and Radiological Health

Description

The purpose of this course is to review the basic physics involved in the generation of X-rays and in the energy dependence of their interaction with matter, and to study some applications of those ideas in both conventional X-ray imaging and in new imaging techniques. The course concludes with a brief look at certain other aspects of the X-ray imaging process, and a discussion of methods for the optimization of X-ray diagnostic imaging systems. (author)

Abstract (Portuguese)
