Description
In this paper, the results of a systematic study of fatigue resistance of ASTM A-516 Gr. 70 carbon low alloy steel is presented first. The results are correlated with the strain energy density of fully-reversed constant strain; mean-tensile-strain; fully reversed constant stress with tensile or compressive pre-strain; and mean stress effect.
