Environmental Compliance. A comparative legal study of corporate organizational obligations in the USA and Germany with a focus on environmental law

"Environmental Compliance" - the organizational assurance of compliance with environmental law requirements by companies - concerns with environmental protection probably one of the most weighty topics of the 21st century. The work at the interface of corporate and environmental law first examines pressing legal issues at a general level from the perspective of the USA and Germany: How extensive must companies design their compliance measures? How far do compliance organizational duties extend within a corporate group? Do compliance obligations sometimes also apply to third parties ("third party compliance")? The focus is then on the corporate organizational duties that the legislators have established in environmental law and the scope for further action that can be considered. The result is a comprehensive overview of how companies should align their compliance organization in the respective legal system.
