Magnetic correlations in high Tc oxides: Neutron scattering studies
Description
A review is given of current neutron scattering experiments on La2-xSrxCuO4 and Nd2-xCexCuO4. Incommensurate magnetic excitations are observed in a high quality single crystal of La1.85Sr0.15CuO4, which exhibits a sharp superconducting transition at 33 K. The study of magnetic correlations in the electron-superconductor Nd2-xCexCuO4 is now being carried out. 18 refs., 7 figs
