Bands of intermolecular charge transfer in absorption spectra of layers of Lu-diphthalocyanine and its ionic salts

Creators

Description

In absorption spectra of sublimated layers of Lu-diphthalocyanine (LuPc2) of different crystal structure in the range of 1000-5000 cm-1 wide bands of intermolecular charge transfer are detected. It is assumed that the appearance of the bands is related to the deficit of electron density on Pc-ligands of LuPc2 molecule. Cationic salts formed as a result of interaction between the layers and iodine vapours also have bands of interion charge transfer in the range of 500-3000 cm-1. In case of charge transfer band imposition on narrow vibrational bands in the spectrum of monocation an antiresonance can be observed, which results in the appearance of narrow collapses on the contour of a wide band of charge transfer
