Description

The authors explore the high energy decline of multifragmentation by studying predictions of a schematic expanding-emitting source model. This model was previously used for understanding the onset of multifragmentation. These studies suggest an underlying framework for understanding the decline. Central to the analysis is the unstopped expansion of the source, and the important role for the narrow range of temperature and density conditions associated with the IMF emission.
