Description
The case demonstrated here shows that filling defects in the oesophagus do not prove the existence of a tumour. In diffuse haemorrhages of the oesophageal mucosa the blood may not be swallowed completely or vomited; it may coagulate in the oesophagus, adhere to the wall and produces a tumor-like pattern. Abstract (German)
