On the different stages in the breakdown phase in plasma focus devices
Description
The spatial location and time evolution of the voltage V(t) between the electrodes and the time derivative of the current dI/dt in the so-called breakdown phase in plasma focus devices are being studied. A summary of the experimental results so far with different electrodes is given. An analysis of the data shows that this phase can be divided into three stages. These stages are outlined by the authors
