Description

Samples of highly oriented pyrolytic graphite doped substitutionally with B11 to concentrations of 1100, 35.5, and <2ppm have been irradiated to doses of 1,2, and 3 x 1019n/cm2(Ni58(n,p)Co58) at a temperature of 600C. It is observed that the crystallite growth parallel to the hexagonal axis is enhanced by the presence of boron at the highest level. The interpretation of this result is considered. (author)
