Left-sided aplasia of the lung with compression of the left vestibule by the aorta descendens

Description

An 18 year old female patient with left-sided lung aplasia was seen to have in an echocardiagram a subdivision of the left vestibule by a membrane or an echo-free space behind the contracted left vestibule. The findings showed the compression of the left vestibule by the aorta descendens. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Bei einer 18jaehrigen Patientin mit linksseitiger Lungenaplasie wurde im Echokardiogramm eine Unterteilung des linken Vorhofs durch eine Membrane bzw. ein echofreies Spatium hinter dem verkleinerten linken Vorhof gesehen. Mit der Angiokardiographie konnte der Befund als Kompression des linken Vorhofs durch die Aorta descendens abgeklaert werden. (orig.)
