On the possibility of application of glass-capillary concentrators of soft x radiation in investigations of high-temperature plasma

Description

Glass-capillary concentrations (GCC) of soft x-ray radiation make it possible to essentially improve characteristics of laser-plasma and Z-pinch plasma sources of soft x-ray radiation. Possibility of the GCC applications for studying structure of radiative structure of high-capacity plasma sources of soft x-ray radiation (Λ≤1.0 nm), as well as their transferring and focusing properties depending on the length of the soft x-ray radiation is studied. It is shown that GCC is a filter, cutting off the strong roentgen, GCC may be applied most effecting for obtaining hot plasma in the so called 'water window' - ≤Λ≤4.4 nm. 4 refs., 2 figs
