Description
The author presents two methods, which are commonly used in the world, of expressing and measuring patient dose delivered in computed tomography. MSAD or CTDI are normally used to express the CT patient dose. These quantities can be measured by CT standard ionization chamber or TLD dosimeter. The relationship of MSAD and CTDI and that of measuring results from different methods have been found by experiments and mathematic simulation. It provides a technical base for CT patient dose monitoring and promoting application of IBSS guide level
