Dynamic response to an expected steam hammer of the steam line from steam generator 5 outside the hermetic zone at the Mochovce-1 reactor unit

Description

The response to a steam hammer induced by an abrupt closing of the quick-closing valve was calculated for the segment from the hermetic penetration to the main steam header to the quick-closing valve of turbogenerator 1. The feasibility of occurrence of resonance states of the piping and the strain response of the steam line (shock wave propagation, strain status of the piping) were analyzed. The conditional probability of damage was also determined
