Addendum to ''Grand unification of preon models''

We extend the discussion of our previous work and investigate the possibility of low-energy parity restoration, i.e., the left-right-symmetric model, within the context of several preon theories of grand unification. The constraints imposed by unification, proton lifetime, and neutral-current data are discussed
