The annealing of point defects in CaF2
- 1. Heidelberg Univ. (Germany, F.R.). Physikalisches Inst.
Description
By NMR on 20F in CaF2 it was possible to observe well-defined (n,γ)-induced lattice defects in the vicinity of the activated 20F atoms. The present study is concerned with annealing of these defects, a process which is governed by an Arrhenius relation tau = tausub(infinity)exp(Esub(M)/kT) where tau is the time constant of the annealing process, tausub(infinity) is a pre-exponential factor of the order of 0.1 ps, and Esub(M) is the migration energy of the corresponding annealing process.
