Upgrading Soviet-design reactors: US fuel goes to Temelin

Description
The first fuel load for the Temelin plant in the Czech Republic will be shipped from the Westinghouse fabrication facility at Columbia, South Carolina this Spring and by the end of the year the reloads will be ready for delivery. Besides supplying fuel, Westinghouse is contracted to replace the plants instrumentation and control systems at this two-unit VVER-1000 plant. (author)
