A novel laser endoscope for radiation of bladder tumors

Description
A new endoscopic laser tool is presented consisting of a urethrocystoscope with Albarran-tray. Because of the flexibility of the new guide light fibres it is possible to irradiate any spot of the bladder wall, the bladder neck and the fascia prostatae. Advantages are apart from the flexibility - the simplifying of the equipment, the good working conditions under water and the higher efficacy using the same power output as the usual laser endoscopes. Abstract (German)
Es wird ein neues Laser-Endoskop vorgestellt, das im wesentlichen aus einem herkoemmlichen Urethrozystoskop mit Albarran-Einsatz besteht. Aufgrund der Elastizitaet der neuen Transmissionsfaser kann mit Hilfe des Albarran-Hebels der Laser-Lichtstrahl an jede beliebige Stelle der Blase, des Blasenauslasses und der Prostata-Loge gelenkt werden. Neben der Beweglichkeit der Laser-Lichtfaser sind die Instrumentenvereinfachung, die guten Arbeitsbedingungen unter Wasser sowie die hohe Effektivitaet bei unveraenderter Energiezufuhr zu erwaehnen.
