Purification of uranium hexafluoride from volatile fluorides of fission products by rectification

Description
The problem of uranium hexafluoride fine purification from the fission products fluorides by rectification method is regarded. The parameters of purification coefficients are given and the possibility of their achievement by means of packed columns is discussed. The pressure and selection influence on the effectiveness of the rectifying columns is shown. The experimental parameters of the top vapour velocity when dealing with hexafluoride uranium for different types of packings are given
