A review of the state and the ways of enhancing the radiometric technique efficiency when investigating the exploration boreholes in Western Siberia

Creators

Description

Features of the borehole cross-sections of the Zapadno-Sibirski (Western Siberia) are a polymictovian composition of the rock matrix, low mineralization of the stratal water, significant washing of the reservoirs, and the presence of reservoirs with complex structure of the pore space. A number of questions of studying the cross-sections under these conditions require the use of supplementary radiometric techniques in repeated neutron logging and the use of labelled substances. These studies permit determining the phase state of the hydrocarbons, studying the structure of the complex structured petroleum-gas deposits, identifying the permeated strata and evaluating their capacity properties in the intervals with complex-structure reservoirs, determining the different gas and petroleum contents in the strata with three-component saturation, etc
