Problems involved in licensing regulations under the Atomic Energy Law

A revision of the safety principles used in our country with the peaceful utilization of nuclear energy is not necessary due to the high safety standard achieved. Inspite of that, effecting licensing procedures under the Atomic Energy Law has become more and more difficult and has been delayed for the last few years, although nuclear energy constitutes one of the most important opportunities to lessen the dependence on fossil energy sources, which is necessary under the aspect of energy policy. The work at hand points out the improvements which can be made with regard to general and licensing principles, with the effecting of licensing procedures under the Atomic Energy Law, with the examination and application of regulations, guidelines and technical rules without changing their legal foundation.
