State of the art in medical imaging - Afib expert group 2010

After an introduction which discusses how to implement a multidisciplinary approach centred on the patient (development of a customised medicine, general trends, technical aspects, evolution of the imaging market, strategies of the main international industrial actors), the articles address and comment evolutions and developments in the different areas of medical imaging: scanner (dose reduction and work flow improvement), molecular imaging (strong development, new tracers and new modality), MRI (overview of technical developments proposed by manufacturers), mammography (trends, commercial offers for the different techniques, commercial offers by main providers), echography (portable solutions, image merging and spatial location of the treatment needle, correction of ultrasound rate, industrial offers), digital radiology (research in ergonomics), and PACS or Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (use of cloud technologies, footprint reduction).
