Radiation embrittlement of steels of nuclear reactor pressure vessels

Description
The mechanical properties of nine types of steels of different chemical composition are evaluated before and after irradiation. The impact strength and tensile properties were examined, and the results of examination of the effects of chemical composition on radiation embrittlement of pressure vessel steels are promising. The scatter of radiation embrittlement in the same material grows with the neutron dose. (M.K.)
