Description
This paper seeks to establish, by means of case studies, conceptual differences between soft projectiles, which produce peak stresses and displacements that can be predicted with reasonable accuracy by means of solutions based on static equivalent loads, and hard projectiles, which usually require a dynamic solution of the coupled-projectile-target system. A simple model of concrete behaviour is proposed for the study of local effects in impact problems. (E.G.)
Abstract (Portuguese)
(E.G.)Additional details
