Total width and leptonic branching ratio of the UPSILON (9.46)

Description

Using the LENA detector at the DORIS e+e- storage ring we measured the hadronic cross section and the μ-pair decay of the UPSILON (9.46) resonance. From these we obtain the electronic width GAMMAsub(ee) = (1.23 +- 0.10 +- 0.14) keV and the mass M = (9 461.6 +- 0.6 +10.0) MeV, the μ-pair branching ratio Bsub(μμ) = (3.5 +- 1.4 +- 0.4)% and the total width GAMMAsub(tot) = (35+25+9sub(-10-7)) keV.
