Relaxation effects in very dilute Pd(Fe) and Pt(Fe)

Description
The Moessbauer emission spectra of very dilute Pd(57Co) and Pt(57Co) reveal fast fluctuations of the 57Fe hyperfine field. The nuclear orientation parameters are markedly changed in the decay cascade from 57Co to 57Fe, as shown for Pd(Fe). The longitudinal electronic relaxation times derived for Pt(Fe) indicate retardation effects for large values of B/T. (orig.)
