Discovery of resonances in multibaryon systems
Description
Study on Λp, ΛΛ, ΛΛp multibaryon resonances in the n12C and π-12C reactions at psub(n)=7.0 and psub(πsup(-))=4.0 GeV/c respectively is carried out. Effective mass spectra of the Λp, ΛΛ, ΛΛp resonances are presented. Estimation of the effective cross sections of the resonance production is given. It is shown that the production of all multibaryon resonances is governed by the hypercharqe selection rule. The narrowness of the resonances is a direct evidence that they are single-hadron multibaryon states
