Calculation reactivity of HTR-10 control rods using scale

Description

HTR-10 is one type of HTGR reactor that is become reference for HTGR reactor construction in several countries. Many research conducted related to the HTR-10 reactor. One of the research topics that is currently being done in relation to HTR-10 is the calculation of reactivity of HTR-10 control rods. Research related to reactivity of the control rod is very important because it is related to safety, namely the ability of the control rod to shut down the reactor under normal or accidents conditions. In this study using SCALE to calculate the control rod reactivity of HTR-10. From the calculation using SCALE, the results for the control rod reactivity are 0,16 Δk/k and shut down margin is 0,134 Δk/k. (author)
