Small amplitude current free double layers in a collisionless plasma

Description
The existence of small amplitude double layers without relative electron and ion drift is reported. Solutions of these double layers exist only when the ratio of electron to ion temperature is less than unity. Electron densities and temperature profiles across the double layers are discussed
