Torsional deformation of Ni60Nb40 metallic glass microsamples is studied. The Baushinger effect is observed under conditions of sign-alternating load. Shape recovery of deformed samples initiated by heating, interpreted within the frames of notions of structural relaxation and evolution of plastic shifts in the fields of long-range internal stresses of the deformed material, is established
