Description

The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of some planar zigzag (Co2(AsO4)Cl and Cu2(AsO4)Cl) and twisted U-shaped (Fe2(PO4)Cl) chains is reported. The compounds show complex AF behavior. Co2(AsO4)Cl exhibits distinct maxima in X'sub(M) at 33.8, 106.4 and 139.3 K, Fe2(PO4)Cl at approximately 5, 7.8 and 61.9 K, and Cu2(AsO4)Cl at 7.8 and 31.1K.
