Peculiarities of Ru and Pd behaviour in conditions of electrochemical oxidative dissolution with Ag(II)

Description
Behaviour of Ru and Pd in conditions of electrochemical oxidative dissolution in nitric acid with Ag(II) is investigated. It is shown that fine-dispersed metallic Ru can be easily oxidated and distillated as RuO4. Process rate is controlled by RuO4 transport through interface solution-gas and can be changed by varying gas feed-motion. Anhydrous RuO4 at such conditions is not practically oxidized
Abstract (Russian)
Исследовано поведение Ru и Pd в условиях электрохимического окислительного растворения в азотной кислоте в присутствии Ag(II). Показано, что мелкодисперсный металлический Ru можно легко окислить и отогнать в форме RuO4. Скорость процесса контролируется транспортом RuO4 через межфазную границу раствор-газ и может быть изменена путем изменения подачи газа. Безводный RuO4 в этих условиях практически не окисляетсяAdditional details
