Description

In the paper the realization of a detector ensemble, the functional principle and performances are presented. The efficiency of detection obtained for gamma radiation with Eγ = 660 keV is ≥ 70 % for the crystal size of 25 mm in diameter and 35 mm in height. The energy resolution is higher than 6%. These values obtained with crystal coupled to PIN photodiode of type S, are equivalent with those obtained with the crystal coupled to the photomultiplier. The data were obtained using an acquisition program entitled 'Quantum MCA Leap' and an PCA-3-OXFORD multi-channel analyzer card mounted in a computer PC/AT-386. (authors)
