Spin density wave and superconductivity in highly anisotropic materials with relevance to organic conductors

  • 1. Kyoto Univ. (Japan). Dept. of Physics

Description

A theory for the coexistence possibility of spin density wave (SDW) and superconductivity (SC) in anisotropic materials is presented. On the basis of a simplified electronic band model a Hartree-Fock approximation is applied. It is concluded that SDW is precluded when SC developes at a higher temperature. When the onset temperature of SDW is higher than that of SC, two long range orders generally coexist. (orig.)
