Method to determine the oxygen content in gases, vapors, and liquids, especially in liquid metals
Description
The oxygen content is determined with the aid of the E.M.F. of an electrochemical measuring probe, the solid electrolyte of which is in contact with the medium to be measured. The claim is made for firstly the polarization of the measuring probe being switched off by the measuring current resulting from the potentiostatic compensation with the aid of electronic means, secondly the measurement of only one oxygen concentration being carried out as a basis for the reference curve, and thirdly with the aid of electronic means the reference curve being calculated from this one measurement by means of the determination of the total derivative of the E.M.F. as well as by means of the determination of the field of directions of the partial derivatives of the E.M.F. with respect to the temperature. Der Sauerstoffgehalt wird mit Hilfe der EMK einer elektrochemischen Messsonde bestimmt, deren Festelektrolyt in direkter Beruehrung mit dem zu messenden Medium steht. Beansprucht wird, dass 1. mit Hilfe elektronischer Mittel die Polarisation der Messsonde durch den aus der potentiostatischen Kompensation resultierenden Messstrom ausgeschaltet wird, 2. die Messung nur einer Sauerstoffkonzentration als Grundlage der Vergleichskurve durchgefuehrt wird und 3. mit Hilfe elektronischer Mittel die Vergleichskurve aus dieser einen Messung ueber die Bestimmung der totalen Ableitung der EMK sowie ueber die Bestimmung des Richtungsfeldes der partiellen Ableitungen der EMK nach der Temperatur berechnet wird.
