A simple coated-tube assay for alpha-foetoprotein for clinical use
Description
A standard method for coating plastic tubes with antiserum has been applied to coat tubes with rabbit antiserum to human alpha-foetoprotein. The coated plastic tubes have been used to set up a radioimmunoassay system which is sensitive and convenient for use on the occasional clinical sample. For a successful coated-tube assay, it was found necessary to modify the final incubation mixture from what was suitable in a standard double-antibody assay system. (author)
