One ore two electron capture by megaelectron-volt energy α-particles from multielectron atoms

Description
The sections of single- and bi-electron captures at 3He2+ ion interaction with He, Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe atoms and N2 molecules within 0.1-2.5 MeV/amu collision energy range are measured by means of analysis of the charge composition of ion beam that passed a gas target. The targets within the model of independent electrons are calculated for the mentioned systems of sections of single- and bi-electron capture using the technique of continuous spectrum distorted waves. Interelectron interaction was taken into account via the selection of wave functions in Hartree-Fock approximation and correlated efficient charges. Partial sections of capture in the excited states are calculated. The obtained experimental and theoretical results agree rather satisfactorily
