Precise uranium isotopic measurements in groundwater around the CEA's Vaujours site

Description
The French site Vaujours has undergone a number of explosion experiments involving some slightly depleted uranium material. The precise environmental assessment of this decommissioned facility was needed to answer questions from the local population. Since natural uranium is present at ppb levels in groundwater, we used high precision mass spectrometry and the resin bead technique to demonstrate that uranium migration is very limited. (author)
