Lanthanum hydrogen bis(hydrogenphosphite) trihydrate, LaH(Po3H)2.3H2O, Mr=353.8, monoclinic, P21/c, a=9.687 (3), b=7.138 (2), c=13.518 A, β=104.48 (3) deg, V=905.0 (5) A3, Z=4, Dm=2.56 (2), Dx=2.598 Mg m-3, λ(MoKα)=0.71073 A, μ(MoKα)=5.103 mm-1, F(000)=672, T=300 K, R=0.032 for 1018 independent observed reflections. The structure contains two phosphite anions connected by a hydrogen bond. The La3+ cation is eight coordinated by seven O atoms from phosphite anions and one O atom of a water molecule. (orig.)
