Co-cation conduction in solid solutions (K1-xRbx)4P2O7 - M2P2O7 (M = Ca, Sr, Cd, Ba): transport numbers and partial ionic conductivities

Description
Transfer numbers of potassium and rubidium cations in solid electrolytes of the (K1-xRbx)4P2O7 - M2P2O7 (M = Ca, Cd, Ba) systems were measured. Co-cation nature of their conductivity was supported. On the base of kind of concentration dependences of transfer numbers the inferences about the ratio between mobility of potassium and rubidium cations were made. Extreme character of concentration dependence of activation energy of rubidium-cation component of the conductivity was supported by nuclear magnetic resonance. Obtained results were derived from the fact that the regulation of the mobile alkali ions was the fundamental reason of polyalkaline effect
Abstract (Russian)
Измерены числа переноса катионов калия и рубидия в твердых электролитах систем (K1-xRbx)4P2O7 - M2P2O7 (M = Ca, Cd, Ba). Подтвержден сокатионный характер их проводимости. На основании вида концентрационных зависимостей чисел переноса сделаны выводы о соотношении подвижностей катионов калия и рубидия. Экстремальный характер концентрационной зависимости энергии активации рубидий-катионной составляющей проводимости подтвержден методом ядерного магнитного резонанаса. Полученные результаты объясняются, исходя из предположения о том, что основной причиной полищелочного эффекта является упорядочение подвижных щелочных катионовAdditional details
