Experimental study on the effect of internal moderators in annular fuel elements on resonance capture in uranium
Description
The results of experiments in determining the effect of scattering of moderators in the internal cavity of an annular uranium block on resonance capture in 238U are presented. The effect is determined by the change in activation of a 238U indicator on the inner surface of the annular uranium block when the moderator-under-investigation is inserted in its cavity
