Sodium borohydride application

Problems related to the practical use of sodium borohydride in various fields of science and engineering are considered. Special attention is paid to the use of NaBH4 the preparation of borohydrides of other metals and their derivatives, for the production of gaseous hydrogen, hydrogenation caralysts, diborane, volatile hydrides of 4A and 5A subgroup elements. Expediency of NaBH4 use for noble metal regeneration from laboratory and industrial solutions, for the production of metal coatings and as reducing agent in chemical analysis is pointed out
