Description
ICP-MS is a technique with which very high sensitivities (about the ng/L) can be obtained. With this technique it is possible to determine the isotopes weight percentage of a mixture without previous chemical separation while a chemical separation process is necessary for the radiometric analysis methods. This new analysis method offer a possibility to medically follow workers which are exposed to elements whose isotopic composition is different from those of natural mixtures as for instance uranium
