Description
Current conservation is a vital condition in electrodynamics. We review the literature concerning the ways to ensure that the formalism used in calculating amplitudes for the scattering of charged particles is in compliance with current conservation. For the case of electron scattering off a scalar and a spin-1/2 target as well as Compton scattering on a scalar target, we present some novelties besides reviewing the literature. (author)
